Etalon Corporation expects to sign contract for supply of 35 trolleybuses to Chernivtsi using EIB funds

Etalon Corporation, as the winner of the tender for the supply of trolleybuses to Chernivtsi, expects to sign a contract with the customer for the supply of 35 trolleybuses manufactured by Chernihiv Automobile Plant.

"Right now we are, let's say, waiting for the signing of a contract with Chernivtsi. There are 34-35 trolleybuses there. The tender was held a year ago, and during this time the price of a trolleybus has grown by almost 20%, officially, by all indicators. Therefore, we ask to review some parameters, and then we will be able to carry out this delivery within the project with the EIB," the president of the corporation Volodymyr Butko said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

As reported, Chernivtsi initially planned to purchase 50 trolleybuses using EIB funds, and announced a corresponding tender, however at the beginning of this year, according to media reports, the mayor of the city said that due to the fact that prices for trolleybuses have increased, the number of trolleybuses purchased will decrease.
