More than 30% of Ukrainians regard operation in Kursk region as turning point in war – opinion poll
Almost a third of Ukrainians (30.9%) perceived the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk region of the Russian Federation as a turning point in the war, strengthening Ukraine's position.
This is stated in the results of the study "Ukrainians in Wartime: Pride, Remembrance, Victory," conducted by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with the Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine and presented at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Friday.
About a quarter of respondents (23.9%) believe that this operation has not changed anything in the course of the war, and only one in eight (12.4%) fears that the operation has weakened Ukraine's position. Almost a third of respondents (32.3%) do not have a clear opinion on this matter.
The survey was conducted on September 17–28 using face-to-face interviews with 1,157 adult respondents in all regions controlled by Ukraine. The sampling error is 3.2%.
