Kyiv region, along with South Korean investors, start developing transport model for region

South Korean investors are helping to improve the transport infrastructure of Kyiv region, thanks to their help, the development of the Transport Model of Kyiv region has already started, the press service of Kyiv Regional Military Administration said.

"A little over four months ago in Kyiv, during a joint forum between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea, we agreed with South Korean investors on their assistance in improving the transport infrastructure of Kyiv region. Today we are already discussing specific steps to implement the project. With our partners, we have already started to develop the Transport Model of Kyiv region," Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko said at a meeting of South Korean delegation with representatives of the regional authorities at the premises of Bucha regional development agency.

Kravchenko said the model will allow to analyze the state of damage to the transport infrastructure of Kyiv region, develop a vision and strategy for its restoration, develop comprehensive plans for spatial development and optimize transport flows.

Head of the South Korean delegation Lee Mu-Hyuck said he was amazed by what he saw in Kyiv region and the ability, even in conditions of war, to restore the country and make plans for the future.

"Support at all stages is what our partners promised. By the end of the year, in addition to the established model, our partners will develop and propose a number of viable projects to improve transport infrastructure. They will also help in attracting private investment for their implementation," Kravchenko said.
