Expanding investments in Ukrainian economy discussed by Shmyhal with CEO of POSCO
The topic of expanding investment in the Ukrainian economy was discussed at the meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the CEO of the South Korean company POSCO, Jeong Tak.
"The leading Korean company will take part in the restoration of Ukraine. We had a meeting with POSCO CEO Jeong Tak and his team. The company, which remains operating in the Ukrainian market, is interested in further investments in our economy," Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to the prime minister, in particular, the parties considered cooperation in three areas: the agricultural industry with an emphasis on processing, metallurgy using green technologies and construction with a full cycle of materials production in Ukraine.
"I thanked POSCO for considering Ukraine as a potential country for investment and development. South Korea's experience in post-war reconstruction will be useful for the implementation of projects in Ukraine," he concluded.
POSCO International is the largest South Korean corporation. POSCO International Ukraine is engaged in transshipment at the MKHP terminal, trading, and processing.
