Syrsky expects boost in military cooperation with NATO after Washington summit
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky noted the significant strengthening of the military component of cooperation with the North Atlantic Alliance following the NATO Summit in Washington.
"There are clear obligations of partner countries. A comprehensive document on support for Ukraine called 'The Ukrainian Compact' was signed. A powerful collective agreement has become another element of Ukraine's 'bridge' to NATO, in particular, from the point of view of military and military-technical integration. The military component of the practical cooperation with the North Atlantic Alliance will be significantly strengthened," Syrsky said in his Telegram channel.
He said the complex diplomatic work to consolidate international support for Ukraine on the irreversible path to NATO membership continues.
"It is especially important for us to support Ukraine with lethal weapons systems, modern air defense systems, and a stable and uninterrupted supply of missiles and ammunition," the commander-in-chief said.
