Ukraine needs to lift restrictions on ability to respond to Russian airstrikes - Zelenskyy to Biden
During a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Joseph Biden in Washington, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs to lift restrictions on retaliatory actions against Russian aircraft that release guided bombs on the territory of Ukraine.
"This is a very big problem for us - these Russian bombs. They demand the lifting of any restrictions for our Ukrainian soldiers to respond. We must stop this war in a fair way," Zelenskyy said on Thursday, adding that during the day he "intends to discuss with the American president how to stop Russian terror together."
In addition, the President of Ukraine thanked the United States for its help in preserving Ukrainian energy. "Now it is too difficult for our people in terms of energy," Zelenskyy said, adding that he would discuss this with the American leader.
