Zelenskyy to Johnson: Further U.S. budget support important for Ukrainian economy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, met with Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
"The key topic of our conversation is strengthening Ukrainian-American cooperation," the president wrote on his Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy also said that he discussed with Johnson expectations from the NATO summit and Ukraine's progress in introducing reforms on the way to the EU and NATO.
For the economic stability of Ukraine, he said, further U.S. budgetary support is important. "The world must remain a place where freedom and democratic values prevail," the president noted.
