Japan transfers two vehicles for mechanized mine clearance to Ukraine
The Japanese government handed over two Nikken mechanized mine clearance vehicles to the units of the State Emergency Service, which will go to Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions on July 9, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service said.
"We want to thank the government and embassy of Japan, as well as the international cooperation agency JICA for their help and joint steadfastness in difficult times for Ukraine," Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko's press service said in Telegram channel on Tuesday.
In turn, the Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori expressed admiration for the pyrotechnicians and sappers who tirelessly clear the Ukrainian soil of explosive objects.
"The transferred vehicles will go to Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions today to perform the necessary tasks," the ministry said.
