SBU, GUR strike military airfield, oil refinery, power substation on territory of Russia – source
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine (GUR) conducted an operation to strike the Aktyubinsk military airfield in Russia's Astrakhan region, 500 kV power substations in Rostov region, and an oil refinery in Kalach-na-Donu in Volgograd region.
An informed source told Interfax-Ukraine that during the drone attack on the Aktyubinsk military airfield, Russian Telegram channels reported work of the Pantsir missile system and a series of loud explosions. Later, these messages were deleted. This shows that the attack was successful, because the Russian authorities usually clear the media landscape when important military facilities are hit.
"The SBU, together with GUR and other defense forces, will continue to ensure hot summer nights at Russian military facilities working for the war against Ukraine. The enemy will pay for all of its inhumane crimes," the source said.
