Zelenskyy informs Trudeau about Russian missile strike, need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday evening, during which he informed him about the Russian missile strike on Ukraine and the need to strengthen air defense.

“I spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and informed him in detail about today's brutal Russian strike, which claimed lives and caused severe damage, including to a hospital in Kyiv where children are treated for cancer and other serious health issues,” the President wrote on his Telegram following a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau.

He thanked the Canadian Prime Minister for his support, and also noted that he had discussed with Trudeau joint actions that would give Russia an adequate and strong response to this terror.

“I also informed Justin about Ukraine’s current need in strengthening air defense. We will greatly appreciate Canada's assistance in communicating with partners to meet these needs,” the President said.

Also, according to him, “importantly, we also coordinated our positions prior to the NATO Summit in Washington.”
