Ombudsman's Secretariat monitors violations of national minorities’ rights in Ukraine, develops 75 recommendations for authorities
The secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights has monitored violations of the rights of national minorities in Ukraine and has developed 75 recommendations for authorities, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said.
"I have presented the special report of our institution. We have analyzed how the rights of national minorities are violated in Ukraine, what needs to be changed, and have developed 75 recommendations to public authorities and local governments. We will now observe how our recommendations will be implemented," he said at the Forum of National Minorities in Kyiv on Friday.
As for the violations themselves, according to Lubinets, first of all it’s about issues related to the educational process, as well as a number of other topics.
