URCS providing mental, physical rehabilitation services
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provides services in the field of mental and physical rehabilitation.
"The value of the activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross today is the provision of a wide range of services in the field of physical and mental rehabilitation, namely: the provision of psychosocial support, first aid, counseling, rehabilitation services at home, provision of rehabilitation aids, recommendations on housing adaptation, monetary assistance, as well as the establishment of inclusive sports grounds," head of the Department of Physical and Mental Rehabilitation of the Office of Rehabilitation and Support of the Ukrainian Red Cross Tetiana Yuschenko said on Facebook.
According to her, the URCS provides services directly in communities, which makes it possible to cover various categories of the population, even in the most remote settlements.
The URCS reported that the issues of mental and physical rehabilitation were discussed at the summit dubbed "The veteran's path from military service to civilian life," organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs with the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
As reported, the Ministry of Veterans, together with the URCS, recently launched a single hotline for veterans, by calling which veterans and their family members can receive counseling and psychological services.
With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross, the Invincible Center in Lviv has been reconstructed since 2022, the rehabilitation center in Lyutizh has been restored and equipment for the rehabilitation center in Borodianka (Kyiv region) has been provided.
Currently, the URCS is developing an information campaign on the inclusiveness of the route for receiving services in the community.
