Synehubov reports active hostilities in Kharkiv region border settlements

The Russian occupation forces started a new offensive in the north of Kharkiv region, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov has said.

"The enemy has launched a new wave of offensive operations in the north of Kharkiv region. These are the settlements in the Kharkiv and Chuhuyiv districts. […] Our combat brigades met the enemy by fire. All of the offensive attacks were repelled. There are currently no losses of territory," he said on the national telethon on Friday.

Active hostilities are taking place in the settlements located at a distance of 1-2 kilometers from the border with Russia, the official said.

"Therefore, taking into account the fact that the enemy attacks exclusively the civilian infrastructure in this axis, we call on people to get evacuated," Synehubov said.

First of all, it is about the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions, he said, adding that for evacuation people should either call 0 800 33 9291 or contact the local authorities.

He also said that 449 local residents have been evacuated from the Chuhuyiv district, 25 from the Kharkiv district, four from the Bohodukhiv district, and 29 people were evacuated by volunteers.

Synehubov emphasized that there is no ground threat for Kharkiv at the moment.
