Zelenskyy: Division of aid to Ukraine and Israel suggests that this is pure politics and election issue

Dividing American aid into Israel and Ukraine will mean that "this is a matter of elections in the United States and pure politics," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with PBS published on Tuesday.

Earlier, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson introduced four separate bills on assistance to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and national security priorities. Johnson claims that this week congressmen will consider separate bills with a structured and appropriate process of making changes - Financing Israel; Supporting Ukraine in the war against Russian aggression; Strengthening allies in the Indian-Pacific region; Taking additional measures to counter enemies and strengthen national security.

"If Congress takes and divides this aid into Israeli and Ukrainian after all that has happened, then this suggests that this is an election issue in the United States of America. And this is just pure politics," Zelenskyy said.

"Now it is necessary, when the whole world is talking about how Iran was able to hit Israel, now it is necessary to populistically help only Israel and forget about what is happening in Ukraine. This is pure politics. This means that no one cares how many people die in Ukraine every day, it's important to them what their ratings are," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, "they just forget that there are no dead ratings. And if Ukraine fails, there will be a war in other NATO countries, and it will be … Therefore, before it is too late, it seems to me that we need to vote on assistance to all countries whose lives depend on it today."
