Umerov, Pentagon chief discuss mid-term, near-term needs, specific Ukraine’s requests
Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov discussed the situation at the front, medium- and short-term needs and specific requests of Ukraine with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a telephone conversation.
“Jointly with Commander-in-Chief had a call with the U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on preparations for next UDCG meeting. Provided an update on the operational situation on the battlefield,” he said on Facebook.
Umerov briefed that they had discussed Ukraine’s mid-term and near-term needs and specific requirements.
“Ammunition and air-defense remain among key priorities. Look forward to engaging on each of the capability coalitions in greater detail when we meet at UDCG. Grateful for clear and consistent support of Ukraine,” the minister stressed.
