President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy started a meeting with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The head of the Ukrainian state wrote about this on X on Friday.
"I am grateful to Turkey for its reliable support for Ukraine. Both of our countries, the entire region, and global food security require unconditional security of navigation in the Black Sea. We can accomplish this by working together," Zelenskyy said.
He also said Ukraine is interested in strengthening bilateral cooperation and co-production with Turkish defense companies.
"We also require Turkey's assistance in releasing our prisoners of war and all of our people, including Crimean Tatars, held captive by Russia," the president said.
