Zelenskyy replaces commander of AFU Support Forces – decrees
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Dmytro Hereha from the post of commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Corresponding decree No. 140/2024 was published on the website of the head of state.
Instead of Hereha, Oleksandr Yakovets was appointed to the post of commander by decree No. 141/2024.
Hereha has held the position of Commander of the AFU Support Forces since August 2021.
Yakovets previously held the position of Chief of Engineering Troops, Head of the Department of Engineering Troops of the Command of the AFU Support Forces.
