AFU in Avdiyivka and Kurakhove directions engaged in fierce battles with superior enemy forces
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrsky, has said that he continues to be in the combat area, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the defense in Avdiyivka and Kurakhove directions.
"Our brigades are fighting tough battles with superior enemy forces. The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower and equipment," Syrsky wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
According to him, in working with brigade commanders, he focuses on how work is organized at the control points for the fire defeat of the enemy, on the timeliness and adequacy of decisions taken in accordance with the current situation and on maintaining constant interaction between units and divisions.
As reported, on February 26, Syrsky and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov visited advanced command posts in the combat area, where they conducted a detailed analysis of the situation, determining further steps, first of all, to protect troops from drones and air strikes by mine dispensers, as well as strengthening individual sections of the front.
