UK Ministry of Defense: Ukraine's use of Storm Shadow missiles is business of Ukrainian Armed Forces
The British Ministry of Defense said Ukraine's use of Storm Shadow missiles is the work of the Ukrainian army, The Guardian said, citing a statement by a ministry representative to the AFP news agency.
"Ukraine's use of Storm Shadow and its targeting processes are the business of the armed forces of Ukraine... The UK, along with other allies, is providing a range of equipment to Ukraine to help it counter Russia's illegal and unprovoked aggression," the spokesperson said.
It is indicated that this statement by the Ministry of Defense is a response to a comment by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about the possible involvement of Great Britain and France in targeting, AFP said.
The UK Ministry of Defense also said Ukraine's use of the sent long-range weapons was "fundamental in its defence of its territory."
"It has changed the strategic picture by successfully putting pressure on Russian forces and their logistics and supply routes," the ministry said.
