Unified state control body in pharma sector may be created before end of martial law – Liashko
A new unified state control body in the pharmaceutical sector, provided for by the European integration law on medicines, can be created before the end of martial law, which is currently provided for by this law, Minister of Health Viktor Liashko said.
"A single body is provided for by the new law on medicines. This law comes into force after a certain period after the end of martial law. We say that now there are some discussions, perhaps this norm can be changed to an earlier one," he said during the discussion "How Ukrainians' access to medicines changed during the war" on Wednesday.
Liashko noted that the Ministry of Health, with the support of the EC, is currently finalizing the structure and functionality of the new unified state control body by analogy with the relevant EU agencies.
"When we develop all the regulations, we will be ready to work with the parliamentary committee of national health, medical care and medical insurance to make changes to the law," he said.
