URCS, State Emergency Service conduct exercise in Khmelnytsky region
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine held joint exercise in Khmelnytsky region.
"As part of strengthening cooperation with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the training of Bohun swamp vehicle drivers was held on the territory of Khmelnytsky region," the URCS said on Facebook on Monday.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross' emergency response teams from Odesa, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky regions and Kyiv City along with employees of the State Emergency Service from 18 regions trained their driving skills on this type of special vehicle to improve their readiness for responding emergencies on water during ice drift and providing those injured with first aid.
The training started with a theory course on the technical characteristics of the Bohun vehicle, after which the participants trained their skills in driving the vehicles on marshland and water, the URCS said.
