Incident with spilling Ukrainian grain on rails a political provocation aimed at dividing our nations – Kubrakov

Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksandr Kubrakov, who is also the Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, has issued a commentary on the incident with the opening of a railway carriage by Polish protesters to let Ukrainian agricultural products spill out on the rails. The official described it as "another political provocation aimed at dividing our nations."

"The scattering of Ukrainian grain on the railroad tracks is another political provocation aimed at dividing our nations. For 2 years, Ukrainian farmers have been harvesting grain in bulletproof vests, under rocket attacks and mine danger. And the Ukrainian army has literally broken through a corridor for this grain across the Black Sea on its own. It is through the Black Sea that 90% of our exports go. It is a matter of our survival. And the survival of the world, it's global food security, which depends on Ukrainian grain, especially in Africa and Asia," he said on X Social Network on Tuesday.

The official tagged the Polish Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister of Poland Radosław Sikorski, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, Head of the National Security Bureau of Poland Jacek Siewiera, and Polish Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak.

The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine said on Facebook that "around noon, on the tracks of the Medyka station, protesters spilled about 4 tonnes of grain from two grain carriages waiting to be reloaded onto the narrow gauge. These agricultural products were in transit to Germany."
