Sweden to allocate $680 mln for military aid to Ukraine
Sweden will send Ukraine a new military aid package worth SEK 7.1 billion ($680 million), it will become the largest tranche allocated by Stockholm since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Bloomberg said on Tuesday, citing Swedish Minister of Defense Pal Jonson.
The aid package will include a variety of weapons, including grenade launchers and 155mm artillery rounds. It includes financial resources for Ukraine to ensure further purchases, including armored vehicles.
Jonson said, taking into account the upcoming assistance, Sweden will provide military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $2.9 billion, including the Archer artillery system and Leopard 2 tanks.
