Von der Leyen on Remembrance Day of Heavenly Hundred Heroes: Decade on, their vision, ideals triumphed
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen notes that the ideals of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes have triumphed and Ukraine will soon take its place in the European Union.
"Today, we pay tribute to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes – the brave souls who sacrificed their lives on the Maidan for Ukraine's freedom in 2014. A decade on, their vision and ideals have triumphed," she wrote on the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred on the social network X.
"Ukraine will prevail and take its place in our Union," von der Leyen said.
