Bundeswehr Inspector General promises additional military assistance to Ukraine in amount of EUR 100 mln
Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer promised additional military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 100 million during a visit to Kyiv last week, the German Defense Ministry reported.
At a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine on February 14, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius touched upon the visit of Bundeswehr Inspector General General Carsten Breuer to Ukraine last week. In particular, he met with his new colleague Oleksandr Syrsky.
Pistorius called the connection with Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky a very important contact. Pistorius stressed that Breuer promised his Ukrainian counterpart short-term support in the amount of more than EUR 100 million.
These includes: armored vehicles with enhanced mine protection; bombs for arming small drones; 77 MULTI 1A1 trucks; medical supplies; spare parts kits for various weapons systems.
