Zelenskyy discusses with U.S. congressmen supply of air defense, long-range missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting with U.S. congressmen on Friday in Kyiv, discussed the supply of long-range weapons and air defense systems.
"We discussed the need of assistance this year and the new American package, which is still under discussion, critical issues. Also air defense, namely Patriots. And the third, key question, emphasized the importance of the range of our weapons, including ATACMS at 300 kilometers, for which, unfortunately, there is no decision yet," he said in a video message on Friday.
"We appreciate American leadership and its contribution to the defense of Ukrainian independence and democracy from the first days of a full-scale war. America helped Ukraine survive at a decisive moment," he said.
