Umerov introduces AFU new commander-in-chief at meeting with inspector general of Bundeswehr in Kyiv
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov introduced new Commander-in-Chief, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, at a meeting with Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer in Kyiv, the department's press service said.
According to a message published in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting Syrsky informed his German colleague about the situation on the front line, and also thanked Germany for its contribution to strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The parties also discussed the needs of the Ukrainian army for weapons, ammunition and air defense systems.
"We are aimed at fruitful cooperation, effective communication and exchange of experience in real time," the press service said, citing Umerov.
