URCS sends two Bohun snow and swamp-going vehicles to Chernihiv region
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) sent two rescue all-terrain vehicles Bohun to Chernihiv region to help eliminate the consequences of possible floods due to rising water in the rivers.
“In accordance with the interaction algorithm between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, in order to provide assistance in eliminating the consequences of flooding and organizing life support for the affected population, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society sent two Bohun all-terrain vehicles to Chernihiv region,” the URCS reported on Facebook.
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society, together with the State Emergency Service, is preparing for floods caused by rising water levels in the Dnipro, Desna, Snov and Sozh river basins because of heavy rains and snowfalls, as well as active melting of snow and ice. The flood causes disruption of transport links to coastal settlements in Chernihiv region.
