Türkiye is ready to help Ukraine in demining the Black Sea, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said, following a meeting with Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen on Wednesday.
"Protecting the ports of Odesa region and demining the Black Sea... Mr. Ambassador assured that Türkiye is ready to make every effort to demining the Black Sea. Because the actions of the Russians – mining, dropping guided aerial bombs into the sea – have become a problem for the Turks as well," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian side also asked for help for Odesa region in medicine, in particular, it said that it needed modern equipment for military hospitals.
In turn, the Turkish Ambassador thanked the entire Ukrainian people for their help during the earthquake in Türkiye, where Ukraine, despite the war, sent its rescue teams, who saved dozens of lives.
