Umerov urges EU to speed up, increase supplies of ammunition to Ukraine
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, during a meeting on Wednesday with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, called on the European Union to speed up and increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression, the Defense Ministry's press service said.
"It is necessary to significantly speed up and increase the supply of ammunition to our soldiers to repel Russian aggression," the press service said, citing Umerov.
The minister thanked Borrell for his personal involvement and unwavering support of the European Union to Ukraine.
He also briefed the EU high representative about the situation at the front and the high intensity of Russian attacks on Ukrainian positions.
In addition, the head of the Ukrainian defense department offered cooperation to European defense companies, in particular, in creating joint ventures and investing in production in Ukraine.
