Ukrainian government's delegation to visit Tokyo in Feb
A Ukrainian government delegation will visit Tokyo, Japan, in February to participate in a conference on restoration and economic development, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.
"This month, our government delegation will visit Tokyo where the Japanese-Ukrainian conference on the restoration and economic growth will take place. We want to enter a new level of cooperation, especially in investment and joint projects," he said at a Friday meeting of the government.
Japan's financial assistance to Ukraine has exceeded $4.5 billion, Shmyhal said, adding that Japan ranks fourth among partners on terms of the amount of budget support.
"Regardless of thousands of kilometers between our countries, we can feel sincere willingness of our Japanese allies to support Ukraine. And we are grateful for this. Moreover, we can see sincere interest of Japan, Japanese Government and Japanese business in Ukraine. We can see their interest in joint projects in various fields. We can see their interest in Ukraine as an investment platform," he said.
