The Cabinet of Ministers has established that defense purchases will be carried out according to a competitive procedure through a closed module of the Prozorro system, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"Now defense purchases will be carried out according to a competitive procedure through a closed module of the Prozorro system," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Thursday.

According to the prime minister, in this way the authorities solve several tasks at once: guarantee the continuity, stability and manageability of supplying the army with everything necessary; establish transparent pricing when the state does not overpay, and business makes a profit; install information leakage fuses that carry security risks.
