Orban claims he achieves fulfillment of his demands at EU summit
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, after a meeting of the European Council, at which the decision of the leaders of the European Union was made to provide Ukraine with EUR 50 billion of financial assistance, said that “the mission has been completed” and Hungary's funds will not end up in Ukraine.
“Mission accomplished. Hungary’s funds will not end up in Ukraine and we have a control mechanism at the end of the first and the second year. Our position on the war in Ukraine remains unchanged: we need a ceasefire and peace talks,” Orban wrote on the social network X.
