Ukraine to receive EUR 21 bln in military aid from EU in 2024
The European Union and member states are committed to providing Ukraine with at least EUR 21 billion worth of military assistance in 2024, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell.
As European Pravda reports, Borrell said following a meeting of EU defense ministers that according to the list provided by the member states, we are talking about EUR 21 billion in military support for Ukraine included in the budgets for 2024.
He clarified that EU member states and European institutions have so far provided Ukraine with military equipment worth EUR 28 billion.
At the same time, Borrell pointed out that the amount of EUR 21 billion is not final, since some member states have not yet provided figures for their support.
But we are talking about EUR 21 billion for this year compared to EUR 28 billion in the previous two years, he emphasized.
