US Inspectors General discuss with Umerov importance of oversight, accountability of US military assistance
The Inspectors General of the State Department, USAID and the U.S. Department of Defense met with Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said.
“Today inspector generals of the U.S. Department of State, USAID and the U.S. Department of Defense met with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. We discussed the importance of oversight and accountability of U.S. security assistance and the MOD’s efforts to assure this oversight,” the Ambassador said on X.
On January 29, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced that three inspectors general from the U.S. Department of Defense, the State Department and USAID had arrived in Kyiv.
