Ukraine, Hungary have made powerful step towards Zelenskyy-Orban meeting – Yermak
Ukraine and Hungary have taken a powerful step towards a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said at a briefing in Uzhgorod on Monday.
"Both sides have made it absolutely clear that there is an interest in holding a meeting at the level of the Prime Minister of Hungary and the President of Ukraine. And I think that today we have made a very powerful step towards this meeting," he said.
"Of course, we are interested in this meeting being successful and really opening a new page in our relations," said the head of the President's Office.
Answering the question, he noted that "we did not talk about a specific date today, but we expressed the interest of both sides that such a meeting takes place as soon as possible."
"We are definitely united in the fact that we will not even give anyone the opportunity to think that neighboring states may not be in good neighborly relations," Yermak stressed.
