Ukrainian Defense Ministry: Sweden, UK join Coalition of drones
Sweden and the UK announced that they are joining the newly formed Coalition of drones, now there are four member countries in the coalition, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said.
"In particular, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson announced this decision during a meeting of Ukraine Defense Contact Group on January 23. Great Britain also announced its intention to join the coalition – and become its co-leader together with Latvia," the ministry said on the Telegram channel said.
The coalition of drones and electronic warfare was created by Ukraine and Latvia. The decision on this was made during the visit of Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds to Kyiv.
"Technology should fight, not people. The drone coalition will be another step towards realizing this idea. This will save many lives. Strengthening and developing the production of unmanned systems will allow us to transform the army and make the latest technologies a today's reality," Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Kateryna Chernorenko said.
