SBU opens case on Il-76 downing in Russia’s Belogorod region
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has opened criminal proceedings on the fact of the crash of the Russian military transport aircraft IL-76 in Belgorod region of the Russian Federation under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war.
"The Security Service of Ukraine has opened criminal proceedings into the downing of the Russian Air Force IL-76 aircraft in Belgorod region, the investigation is being carried out under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war)," the SBU press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
Currently, according to the Ukrainian Security Service, a set of measures is being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crash. The pretrial investigation is ongoing.
