UK to increase aid to Ukraine in 2024 to GBP 2.5 bln – Minister Shapps during Ramstein group meeting
The UK intends to increase military assistance to Ukraine to GBP 2.5 billion in 2024.
The announcement was made on Tuesday during a virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the so-called Ramstein group, as the country's Ministry of Defence said on the X network.
"The UK will support Ukraine for as long as it takes – which is why we're raising our military aid to £2.5bn this year. At today's meeting of the 50-nation strong Ukraine Defence Contact Group, Defence Secretary Grant Shapps urged others to join the UK in increasing their aid," the Ministry said.
