Situation tense in Kupyansk direction, but AFU holding frontline, killing the enemy – Syrsky
Сommander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, made a working trip to the military units that are holding the defense in Kupyansk direction in Kharkiv region.
"The situation remains tense in this direction. The enemy does not stop conducting active assault operations and intensive fire damage. The enemy concentrated its main efforts on ousting our units from Kupyansky forest and capturing Synkivka," Syrsky wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
He said that he had heard reports from commanders on the ground about the current situation and the actions of the Russian occupiers. "Together with the commanders of the military units, we analyzed the possible further actions of the enemy and determined the optimal options for the actions of our troops. We have planned the use of reserves and the order of fire damage," the commander said.
"Despite the difficult situation in Kupyansk direction, we are holding defense and destroying the enemy," said Syrsky.
