Stoltenberg to Zelenskyy in Davos: Ukraine is closer to NATO than ever before
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine is closer to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) than ever before.
He made a corresponding entry following the meeting on his page in X, accompanying it with a photograph showing a handshake between Stoltenberg and Zelenskyy.
"Great to start the day in Davos by meeting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Despite a serious battlefield situation, there is cause for optimism: Ukraine retains its independence, Ukrainians have rejected Russia and chosen the West; and Ukraine is closer to NATO than ever before," Stoltenberg said.
