Some 520 children die in Ukraine from Russian aggression – PGO
In Ukraine, 520 children were killed and at least 1,191 received injuries of varying severity due to the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation as of the morning of January 9, the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO) reported on Tuesday.
"Children in the following regions have been most affected: Donetsk - 504, Kharkiv - 313, Kherson - 145, Kyiv - 130, Dnipropetrovsk - 111, Zaporizhia - 100, Mykolaiv - 97, Chernihiv - 72, Luhansk - 67. During the day on January 8, as a result of enemy rocket fire in Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, five children aged 4, 8, 11, 16 and 17 were injured," the message says.
The PGO noted that these figures are not final: work continues to establish them in places of combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine.
