SBU initiates criminal proceedings following technical device discovery in one of potential locations of Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny
The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has opened criminal proceedings following the discovery of a technical device in one of the potential locations of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny, the SBU press service said on Sunday evening.
"Proceedings have been opened under Article 359 Part 2 (illegal acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. We note that the equipment was not found directly in Valeriy Zaluzhny's office, but in one of the premises, which could in the future be used for work," SBU said on Telegram channel.
SBU also says, according to preliminary data, "the discovered device was inoperative. No means of storing information or means of remote transmission of audio recordings were found. This technical device will be submitted for examination."
SBU officers are taking all measures provided by law to investigate this offense.
