Latvian President arrives in Ukraine, discusses relations with Zelenskyy at level of EU institutions
President of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics has arrived in Ukraine and held a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which he discussed relations at the level of European Union institutions and issues of European integration of Ukraine.
“We discussed our relations in detail at the level of the institutions of the European Union. Latvia fundamentally supports the full accession of Ukraine to the EU. Thank you for your willingness to maintain the existing energetic approach to cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine. We expect that the European Union will fulfill its promise to begin negotiations in response to Ukraine’s full compliance with all recommendations," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Friday.
