Eight Ukrainian citizens withdrawn from Gaza to Egypt, 26 Ukrainians transported on charter flight from Egypt to Moldova on Friday – MFA
Within 24 hours, eight Ukrainian citizens were withdrawn from Gaza to Egypt, and 26 citizens were transported on a charter flight from Egypt to Moldova on Friday, November 24, said Oleh Nikolenko, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“Our diplomats provided them [the citizens] with assistance in moving to Ukraine. In total, during the first stage of evacuation, Ukraine managed to remove 259 people from Gaza. We are grateful to Egypt, Israel, Qatar and other partners for their support,” Nikolenko said.
He emphasized that the efforts of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry regarding assistance to citizens in the Gaza Strip are under the special control of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
