Austin following meeting with Zelenskyy: USA, along with its allies and partners, will continue to support Ukraine’s urgent battlefield needs
U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III, who arrived in Kyiv on Monday on an unannounced visit, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
I was honored to meet with President of Ukraine in Kyiv today to reaffirm the United States’ steadfast support for Ukraine. We, along with our allies and partners, will continue to support Ukraine’s urgent battlefield needs and long-term defense requirements,” Austin said on X (Twitter) Monday.
As reported, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Supreme Commander of NATO Allied Forces Europe and Commander of U.S. Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, arrived on a visit to Kyiv.
