USA, UK working with Ukraine to strengthen defense of energy system from Russian attacks – Brink
The United States and Britain are working together with Ukraine to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian energy grid from Russian shelling in the winter, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said on Sunday, November 19.
"We are working 24/7 to help keep the lights, heat, and power on in the face of Russia's barbaric attacks. Important and productive meeting with Deputy PM Oleksandr Kubrakov, head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky, head of the State Restoration Agency Mustafa Nayyem, and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the UK, to discuss our joint efforts to protect the energy grid this winter," the ambassador wrote on X.
