Zelenskyy awards Dzhemilev title of Hero of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has congratulated leader of the Crimean Tatars, member of Parliament of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev on his 80th birthday and awarded him the title Hero of Ukraine.

"I congratulated him, thanked him for defending the freedom of Ukraine and the Crimean Tatar people and awarded him the title of Hero of Ukraine. A strong, decent, brave man. A life dedicated to defending the freedom of peoples. He wished what we all wish: the victory of Ukraine and freedom for all parts of our state. And we are doing everything to bring the liberation of Crimea closer," Zelenskyy wrote on the Telegram channel.
