Blinken, Modi discuss Ukraine, Middle East – Department of State
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East during their meeting, the Department of State reported on Friday.
"Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in New Delhi, India... They emphasized working together to address ongoing crises such as Russia's war against Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East," according to a statement from the U.S. Department of State.
It is noted that Blinken and Modi also discussed cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as on various other global issues.
Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin are holding talks in Delhi on Friday. In particular, they had a meeting planned with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
