Zelenskyy thanks Azerbaijan for supporting Ukrainian energy system ahead of winter

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Azerbaijan for the energy support ahead of the winter.

"Today I want to thank Azerbaijan. Ahead of the winter, just as we agreed with President [Ilham] Aliyev, there is appropriate support for our energy system. We understand that this winter might be no less difficult than last winter. We are getting ready. And support for Ukraine, our people, our energy system is critically important," he said in a video address on Thursday.

Earlier, Azerbaijan announced its plans to provide Ukraine with equipment for the restoration of distribution networks by the end of the year.
